The Horror that is the red Spurs badge!!

Remember all the fuss a few years back when our new sponsor was looking to use its trademark red in the lettering on the front of our shirts? It may not have been as heinous a crime as the one that turned Cardiff from blue to red in their entirety but many fans were considerably dischuffed.

Imagine the horror then if I turned up to the Lane wearing this – a genuine official Spurs badge that is predominantly red. I’ve no idea of the date of this – it was passed down to me but I’m sure I remember seeing similar ones when I first started watching matches in the 1970’s.

Sadly, it’s a little worn these days but can anyone date it for me and does anyone else where their blue and red with pride?
